what is peace??
Some say that peace is negotiation.
My ethics lecture said peace is a result of ethical acts.
Some say that peace can be achieved by ‘justified war’.
Some claim that peace means defending your dignity.
Tony Blair said that peace is the preparation of war.
Osama said that peace is achievable by the fall of US
Bush said that peace is victory on terrorism

When his relatives were about to go for war to ‘defend’ their water source, the waters of
Rohini River , the Buddha did not stand with them. The Buddha did not give them strategies; the Buddha did not lecture them to show courage for war.
Instead, he went to both side and asked: ‘What is more valuable, blood or water?’

Why do people fight to defend their faith? Their religion? Why do fanatics kill others and themselves just to fulfil their hatred?
What is love, compassion when all men are blinded with self-ego?

How does peace come about?Is it not through war it self? How can peace come about if there is no war?These days is not war cast in the name of peace? For me peace can only be attained through convincing citizens that wishing for anything other than what they have been given is a condemnable act and merits persecution. This can be achieved by controlling the lives of denizens by LAW.Limit their activity, keep close tabs on what the do, persecute these ‘troublemakers’ under laws that require no justifications. The fringe benefits? You can apply favoritism laws and not fear repercussions becoz the citizens are ‘trained’ not to voice out their concerns.
